The charm of old-time golf meets the timeless beauty of Lake Maggiore: on September 19 and 20, 2025, the prestigious Golf Alpino in Stresa will host the Centenary Italian Open Trophy, a special event celebrating one hundred years of Italian golf history.
The two-day event will open on Friday, September 19 with a field test and the trophy presentation ceremony, an emotional moment that will officially kick off the celebrations.
On Saturday, September 20, the heart of the event will take center stage: the hickory golf tournament, which will bring the style and elegance of vintage golf back to the field, with wooden clubs and historic clothing. The day will end with a gala dinner followed by the awards ceremony, to celebrate participants, guests and enthusiasts together.
The event is organized by Carlo Busto, a key figure in the hickory golf movement in Italy.
